TALE OF A CHAMPION....2008 Bay Colt by Proven and Successful sire of MGSW's "Tale Of The Cat "
Stallion is the sire of GSW'S Gio Ponti, Tale Of Etaki etc. This colt is superbly bred on both sides, but more notably on
the dams side being out of a Seattle Slew mare (If Angels Sang). This colt has a big, long stride to him. His 160 lb
rider who has sat on the likes of many talented horses, such as Summer Squall etc. simply said that he always liked
the way this colt goes, being so smooth and with such ease in effort. When other horses works the same distance in
the same time at 100% of their effort, this colt is doing the same at 50% or so of his effort. He has much untapped
talent that it is scary to imagine when he is asked for 100%.  His two other siblings cost 110k and 120k respectively as
Keeneland Yearlings, with the latter being Ilusora (full sister). Ilusora was shipped to Argentina, where much was
expected of her, but in speaking with connections down there, last year she got hurt and her racing debut was delayed.

On 3/25 at Palermo (Arg.) she made her spectacular debut  and won resoundingly  (see her win pic's and
video below)
, dragging the rider to the lead from the off, then winning by several lengths being eased down to the
wire, possibly by 15 lengths or so. The time was very good on the dirt going 21.48 / 44.82 / 1:09.60 / and throttling
down early in 1:22.78 for 7 furlongs or 1400 meters. Keep in mind this was her first start and needless to say the
connections are ecstatic over her victory. Descrbing this fillies  performance would be  "effortless", which immediately
coencided with our remarks with this colt. Her performance solidifies our assessment in this colt that he is seemingly
talented and
notably very well bred out of a Seattle Slew mare, with this colt's grand dam (Chapel Of Dreams)
and a MULTIPLE GRADED STAKES WINNER & PLACED, being a half to Storm Cat, but sired by Northern
Dancer.
We think that that there are too many positive's with this colt to go wrong in assessment and of
course should step up the game on turf being by the hot...Tale Of The Cat stallion. This is a Well  Grown, Well Bred,
Athletic looking colt, where pedigree and dept runs deep. This colt is fast, but moreso bred to go long on both dirt and
turf surfaces. This  makes him a very versatile individual in being well diversified
TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR
INVESTMENT
.. Note: In justification of being imppeciably bred, he has an A+++ Werk Nick Rating, meaning that
this bloodline cross has produced the highest rate of successful runners, also notably at Stakes and Graded Stakes
level. This colt is a late foal being May, so definitely has more room on the scale for development. He is currently
breezing half mile works. He was a Keeneland 85k yearling sales progeny and has blossomed much since. Dam had
sold for 130k . This colt brings the total package  and of course his sire is
HOT ! and a highly regarded proven
commercial sire world wide.

UPDATE: Filly wins second career start in Palermo, (Arg) against allowance company, again most
impressively in near 1400 meters (7 furlongs) track record time of 1:20.35 The current standing record is
1:20.30  Click below to view both impressive race wins.

UPDATE: Tale Of A Champion wins the Calder Summit Of Speed Stakes Turf Sprint. He came from last to
               first with a late burst.

Tale of the Cat Treble in Hong Kong
(9th May 2010)

Tale of the Cat is one of the few shuttles sires to achieve success in both hemispheres and on all
surfaces, his influence stretching to Sha Tin in Hong Kong on Saturday where he had a treble of winners.

Tale of the Cat started the program with a bang, his offspring winning the first two races with the David
Hall trained Cool Cat (5g Tale of the Cat x Tilting, by Don’t Say Halo) scoring in the opening event followed
by the Manfred Man trained Winner Smart (4g Tale of the Cat x Angel on Links, by Place Music).

A five year-old gelding who was bought for $90,000 from the Vinery draft at the 2006 Magic Millions
Yearling Sale, Cool Cat finished second to Zizou in the Listed VRC Maribyrnong Trial before being sold to
Hong Kong.

A $120,000 purchase from the Phoenix Park draft at the 2007 NZB Ready to Run Sale, Winner Smart has
campaigned exclusively in Hong Kong winning twice and placing four times from just 15 starts.

Bringing up the treble was the Ricky Yiu trained Metro Rider (4g Tale of the Cat x Affirmed’s Lass, by
Marauding), who was a $50,000 purchase from the Robyn Wise draft at the 2007 Inglis Premier Yearling
Sale.

Tale of the Cat has had limited numbers of yearlings at Australasian sales this year owing to his premature
return to the US in 2007 as a result of EI, but it has been business as usual since then with seven of his
youngsters entered for the upcoming 2010 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale.
